Black Women In Sport Foundation
This year's theme, "Carving a Legacy: Sports Legends - Past, Present and Future" honors not just current legends but also those who have come before us and those who are yet to make their mark in the sports arena. Here you will also have an opportunity to discuss many of the legal aspects of women's sports in the new millennium with experts in the field. In addition you can learn about the many career opportunities that exist for women in sport and how best to market yourself and make the most out of a sports career. The conference itinerary includes pre-conference events, receptions, workshops, demonstrations, an Awards Banquet, youth
dance, and other special events. The Black Women In Sport Foundation, founded in 1992, is dedicated to facilitating the
involvement of Black women in every aspect of sport in the United States and around the world, through the "hands-on"
development and management of grass roots level outreach programs. The Foundation is unique in its ability to address the
needs and wishes of young black women and girls, and to define the best ways to guide and support them in their path to
life-long achievement. The Black Women In Sport Foundation is a Pennsylvania Non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Black Women In Sports Foundation
