Cheryl Levick

NCAA Division IA, Cheryl Levick,
Director of Athletics, Santa Clara University (former Senior Associate/Senior Woman Administrator, Stanford University)

  • Cheryl became the Director of Athletics at Santa Clara University on May 31, 2000, following 12 years at the top assistant at Stanford University
  • Cheryl chairs the NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics and serves on the NCAA Academic/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet
  • Prior to coming to Stanford in 1988, Cheryl was an Assistant Commissioner of the Pacific-10 Conference; Assistant Director of Communications and Assistant Director of the Women’s Programs at the NCAA and Women’s Gymnastics Coach and Associate Athletics Director at Slippery Rock University
  • Cheryl was named in 1998 and 1999 as one of the nation’s Top 25 Female Sports Executives by Street and Smith’s Sports Business Journal

 

 

 
JoAnn “Josie” Harper

NCAA Division IAA, JoAnn “Josie” Harper,
Senior Associate Director of Athletics/ Senior Woman Administrator, Dartmouth College

  • Josie was promoted to Senior Associate Director in June 1999, after serving as Associate Athletics Director for nine years and Assistant Athletics Director for three years at Dartmouth College
  • Josie serves as a member of the ECAC  Executive Board and served for four years as a member of the NACWAA Board of Directors where she also served as secretary
  • Josie joined the Dartmouth staff in 1981 as Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse.  Prior to Dartmouth, she coached at Hollins College and Penncrest High School.
  • Josie coached lacrosse at the national and international levels. In 1986, she coached the U.S. World Cup Team and assisted with the 1982 U.S. team that won the world championship in England
  • Josie was inducted into Dartmouth’s “Wearers of the Green” in 1999 and in June 2000 she was inducted into the New England Lacrosse Hall of Fame

 

 

 
Diane T. Wendt

NCAA Division IAAA, Diane T. Wendt,
Director of Sponsor Relations and Community Affairs, Intellectual Property and Events, (former Senior Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator), University of Denver

  • Diane has been part of the University of Denver athletics staff for the past 27 years when she began her career as a faculty member in the Physical Education department, and was appointed the first Women’s Athletics Director
  • Diane has serve as President of the National Association of Collegiate Athletic Marketers (NACMA) and has also served on the NCAA Corporate Marketing Committee, NCAA Professional Sports Liaison Committee, NCAA Woman of the Year Selection Committee, NCAA Life Skills Advisory Board, and the NCAA Gender Equity Task Force
  • Diane serves on the Board of Directors of Sportswomen of Colorado, and chairs the University of Denver Equity Task Force.  She is also a member of the Colorado Women’s Forum

 

 

 
Gwendolyn Davis-Reeves

NCAA Division II, Gwendolyn Davis-Reeves,
Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator, Fort Valley State University

  • Gwendolyn became affiliated with Fort Valley State University as the Wellness Coordinator in 1989.  In 1992 she was appointed Senior Woman Administrator, and in 1997 she was appointed Associate Athletics Director. She served as Interim Athletics Director from 1997 to July 1998.
  • Gwendolyn is affiliated with numerous professional organizations including the National Association of Girls and Women in Sport, Georgia Athletics Directors’ Association, and NACWAA
  • Gwendolyn has been an advocate for equity and has been instrumental in implementing innovative programs at Fort Valley.  She added two sports for women while serving as Interim Athletics Director
  • Gwendolyn has received numerous honors including the “Wildcat Award” and was a recipient of Athletic Management’s 1999 ATALANTA Award for Role Models

 

 

 
Marilyn Moore

NCAA Division III, Marilyn Moore,
Director of Athletics, State University New York (SUNY), Geneseo

  • Marilyn was selected Director of Athletics at SUNY, Geneseo in 1999 following a rich career as Athletic Trainer, 1980-1985; Assistant Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator, and Head Athletic Trainer, 1985-1999
  • Marilyn has served on numerous committees including:  SUNY AC Conference Championships Committee, Eligibility Committee, Finance and Infractions Committee.  She has also served on the New York State Board of Regents to the New York State Committee for Athletic Trainers and the New York State Office of Professional Disciplines
  • Marilyn is a 2000 NACWAA/HERS graduate and has been responsible for securing numerous grants for her institution
  • Before joining SUNY Geneseo, Marilyn was a physical education teacher at Pavilion central Schools in New York

 

 

 
Lea Plarski

NAIA/Junior/Community Colleges, Lea Plarski,
Director of Athletics, St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley

  • Lea became the Director of Athletics at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley in 1990 following serving as Associate Director of Women’s Athletics for 17 years
  • Lea serves as President of the National Junior College Athletic Association, a position she has held since 1990.  She also served as Vice President for 15 years, and the Region XVI Director
  • Active in USA Basketball, Lea served as NACDA’s Vice President for four years, and is currently on the Women’s Games Committee.  She also serves on NACDA’s Executive Committee, Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Selection Committee and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Board of Directors
  • Lea was awarded the Josten-Berenson Award, Rita “Slats” Meyer Moellering Sportswoman Award, and the David L. Underwood Award

 

 

 
Patricia Wall

NCAA Division Organization/Other, Patricia Wall,
Associate Commissioner, Southeastern Conference

  • Pat has served the Southeastern Conference as Associate Commissioner since 1987.  Prior to her tenure at the SEC, Pat was the Assistant Director of Championships at the NCAA.  Pat served as Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach at MacMurray College from 1959-80 where she also chaired the Department of Physical Education.
  • Pat is a member of the NCAA Professional Sports Liaison Committee and United States Olympic Committee Women in Sports Task Force.
  • Active in community service, Pat is a former member of the Board of Trustees, MacMurray College, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross
