INDIANAPOLIS, IN.  As part of its ongoing commitment to women, minorities and diversity issues, the NCAA has announced its 2001 diversity education workshops for athletics personnel. The diversity workshops provide opportunities for athletics administrators and coaching staffs to enhance their understanding and respect for multiculturalism and diversity.  The workshop provides a positive learning environment that teaches the values of diversity in maximizing team effectiveness.  There are no fees to attend the workshops, however participants must attend both days of the session. Lunch and seminar materials are provided.

"Train the Trainer" workshops provide participants with the skills necessary to deliver NCAA diversity education workshops on their own campus to enhance the institution's overall effectiveness.
