LevelEdge works to Increase Scholarship Opportunities
With a total of over 19,000 high schools in America, many good athletes can go unnoticed due to the lack of exposure. High school athletes are encouraged to market themselves through MyEdge Profiles. MyEdge Profiles are a free and easy-to-follow function, located on the LevelEdge Web site (LevelEdge.com), that enables athletes to create their own athletic profiles that include personalized information such as athletic performance, college/team preferences, photos, personalized bios, and other information about academics if applicable. Coaches and recruiters can access and search these MyEdge Profiles, greatly increasing the athlete's visibility, and concurrently, their chances of securing athletic scholarships. "Our goal is to create visibility for all student-athletes, not just the top prospective recruits coming out of high school," said Lisa Henderson, president and CEO of LevelEdge. "An athletic scholarship can make the difference between attending college or not; at LevelEdge we are dedicated to elevating the exposure of deserving and talented student-athletes to college coaches and recruiters worldwide." This summer LevelEdge collected high school student-athlete performance statistics at the top girl's basketball camps and tournaments in the nation including those conducted by Nike, Basketball Congress International (BCI) and Oregon End of the Oregon Trail. Relationships with these high-profile events provided LevelEdge the unique opportunity to reach 22,000 student-athletes, more than 400 college and high school coaches and more than 200 media outlets. As a result of the camp participation, LevelEdge added approximately 7,500 student-athletes to its already populated database. LevelEdge is a safe and secure means for allowing recruiters to contact the amateur athlete and track their performance. All of the data is compiled and communicated according to NCAA requirements.
