Canadian Sports Product
to Be Used at Women's World Championships

HAMILTON, Ontario - (February 1, 2001) - Park Mark Manufacturing, (http://www.parkmark.net/ ) a new Canadian company has confirmed it will be providing Park Marks for the Women's World Championships to be held in the U.S. in November.  Also confirmed, is the use of The Park Mark this season by teams under the Provincial Women's Softball Association for league and tournament play.

The Park Mark™ is an accessory item used by players, children and adults alike, while on the bench when playing t-ball, softball, slo-pitch, fast-pitch and baseball. It holds a water bottle, bat, glove, jacket and helmet as well as snacks, keys, glasses, batting gloves, etc. in its weather-resistant pouch.  Players can customize the pouch with their teams' logo/graphic and team name and further personalize their Park Mark™ with their own name and playing number.

The Canadian Women's National Softball Team took their custom designed Park Marks to the Sydney Games and presented the host nation team with customized Park Marks, bearing their flag, at the gift-exchange presentation.  Park Mark Mfg. has confirmed their involvement with the upcoming Women's World Championships in Florida in November when 64 countries will be competing for the ISF title. Customized Park Marks, each bearing the competing teams flag, will be provided for each player of each team.

Park Mark Mfg. President and inventor, Dave Millard, is delighted by the prospect of the Park Mark going "global". "Things have really worked out exceptionally well," said Millard.  We launched the product February 28th, 2000 and have seen some real promising growth and entry into all ball-playing markets. Other markets we're looking at include corporate teams, school teams, and tournaments.  The Olympics however was on another level altogether - really amazing!"

The Park Mark™ sprung from Millard's t-ball coaching days when he noticed that the bench area often resembled a "hurricane zone" with water bottles, gloves, jackets, helmets, etc. strewn all over the place. "What was ironic however" Millard states, "was that as a member of an adult slo-pitch team, how the adults bench area was often in the same state of disorder." Thus was born The Park Mark™.
