present "Flexing Our Muscle: Women's Sports in a New Era,"

WASHINGTON D.C., (February 25, 2001) The Women's History Month Planning Committee and the Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies for the Smithsonian's opening Women's History Month program, "Flexing Our Muscle: Women's Sports in a New Era," on Thursday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at the S. Dillon Ripley Center, Room 3111. Speakers include Cheri Becerra (Omaha), Olympic gold medalist and wheelchair athlete; Patricia Reuss, Vice President for Government Relations of the National Organization for Women's Legal Defense and Education Fund; and Lynette Woodard, Assistant Coach at the University of Kansas and the first female Harlem Globetrotter. Moderated by Leslie T.
