(January 2, 2001) WNBA, NBA, SportsLine.com Partner Up NEW YORK, NY. (Jan. 2) -- The National Basketball Association, the Women's National Basketball Association and SportsLine.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLN), a leading global Internet sports media company and publisher of CBS SportsLine.com (cbs.sportsline.com), announced a multi-year global partnership encompassing a variety of strategic initiatives. The multi-faceted relationship includes licensing rights, a presenting sponsorship of the NBA's interactive talk show, the production of a fantasy game for NBA.com and various cross-promotional opportunities. The relationship also crosses multiple platforms as the NBA and WNBA will provide SportsLine.com users with custom NBA video highlight packages, while SportsLine.com and its Euro-Asian subsidiary Sports.com will be provided with real-time scoring and statistics of every NBA and WNBA game and the right to make available to their users Audio League Pass, NBA.com's exclusive home and away radio feeds of every NBA game. The agreement also includes promotion of NBA.com and WNBA.com on all of CBS SportsLine.com's NBA and WNBA Web pages. Other components of the agreement include: SportsLine.com's right to use NBA marks and logos throughout its site and within its fantasy basketball games; promotion of the SportsLine.com Web site within NBA.com's interactive coverage of "The NBA Beat;" and SportsLine.com's production of an official fantasy basketball game for NBA.com, "NBA Fantasy Basketball 2001," utilizing its Commissioner.com product.
