the Wave” with the SAN
FRANCISCO, CA (November 1, 2001) The San Francisco Tsunamis invite you to
“Catch the Wave”. Find out what the Tsunamis and the Banshees are all
about on 11/09/01, 1:05pm at Kezar Stadium. The
Women’s American Football League is comprised of a total of seventeen teams
across the country. These teams are divided into two conferences, the
Pacific Football Conference (PFC) with three divisions and the Atlantic
Football Conference (AFC) has two divisions. The Tsunamis are part of
the Central Pacific division of the PFC. The team is owned by their wide
receiver, Olympian Wendy Brown. The
Tsunamis have shown a special interest in attracting new fans in their home
town San Francisco. They held their first promotion on November 9th at
KMEL’s “Black Out Friday” in downtown San Francisco. The event was a
success and gave the team a chance to invite potential fans to the upcoming
game. The next promotion will be “Castro Meets the San Francisco Tsunamis”
on November 16th. The team and staff will be in the Castro discussing
their upcoming game, recruiting players, and distributing discount tickets to
interested businesses and residents. The
Oakland Banshees will visit the San Francisco Tsunamis’ home field
Kezar Stadium on November 17th. Kickoff time is 1:05 p.m. The team has put a
lot of sweat into their workouts. The coaching staff has the players at an
elevated performance, and they are ready for a solid full-contact football
game. Join
the otherTsunamis’ fans and “Catch the Wave” . Tickets are fifteen
dollars for adults and only seven dollars for students (with ID)and seniors.
Two children ten years or younger are allowed in free with each paid adult.
Student season passes are twenty-eight dollars and adult season passes are
