SALEM VA (May 21, 2002) St. Mary's (Texas) won its first-ever Division II Softball Championship on Monday with a 4-0 victory over Grand Valley State. Most Valuable Player Kym Kling pitched a four-hit shutout, allowing four hits for her fourth tournament win. All-Tournament Team members Natalie Hill, Veronica Garcia and Ashley Boedecker all had multiple-hit games for the Rattlers.
