Carolyn Peck Resigns from Orlando Miracle
Peck to coach University of Florida Lady Gators

ORLANDO FL (April 3, 2002) The Orlando Miracle announced that General Manager/Head Coach Carolyn Peck has resigned and will accept the women's basketball head coaching position at the University of Florida.

Peck has served as the Miracle's General Manager/Head Coach since April 1, 1999 and compiled a 44-52 record over three seasons, including a trip to the 2000 WNBA Playoffs. Prior to joining the Miracle, Peck guided Purdue University to the 1999 NCAA Championship.

"I'm extremely appreciative to RDV Sports for all the support they have given me and allowing me to fulfill a dream to coach at the professional level," said Peck. "I can't say enough about the organization and the players I've been privileged to coach. The only reason for accepting the Florida position is the opportunity to go back to coaching at the collegiate level. I've had an itch to return to the collegiate game. I will always be the biggest WNBA and Orlando Miracle fan."

"We appreciate everything that Carolyn has done for this franchise and her commitment to the Central Florida community," said John Weisbrod. "She has been an integral part of the Orlando Miracle since day one and we wish her the best of luck in her new endeavor."

No interim coach or general manager has been named at this time.

This season marks the first time that the Miracle will offer additional fan-friendly ticket packages, which include a seven game weekend package, a four game ticket option as well as a flex plan. The seven game weekend plan begins at $119, while the four game package is as low as $52 and the flex plan starts at $130. All ticket packages are for lower bowl seats.

Season tickets for the Miracle's fourth season are still available in the lower bowl of the TD Waterhouse Centre with prices ranging from $8 to $36 per game. Season tickets can be purchased by calling (407) 916-WNBA. Additional information regarding the Miracle can be found on its homepage at www.orlandomiracle.com.
