Chill Defeats Force
 Advances To USPV Championship

ROCHESTER MN (April 24, 2002) The Minnesota Chill defeated the Grand Rapids Force 3-1 Wednesday night to advance to the U.S.Pro Volleyball (USPV) Championship. Minnesota, the USPV regular season champion, won the best-of-3 series 2-1.

Nicole Branagh (University of Minnesota) paced the Chill with 20 points (16 kills, 4 aces) and was named the series MVP.  Tyra Harper added 17 points (4 blocks), while Lindsey Berg, the USPV's Outstanding Server award recipient, added 52 setting assists.

Minnesota will host Chicago in Match 1 of the best-of-5 USPV Championship on Sunday at the Mayo Civic Center Auditorium in Rochester, Minn. The two teams split the regular season series 3-3, although Chicago is 2-1 at Rochester.
