2002 WNBA Schedule BRISTOL
CT (January 31, 2002) The
ESPN/ESPN2 schedule of 22 Women's National Basketball Association games
begin with the Charlotte Sting on ESPN Saturday, June 1 at 8 p.m. ET. ESPN's
12 games will generally be aired on Friday nights while ESPN2's 10 contests
will be on Sunday afternoons and Thursday nights.
ESPN's schedule is highlighted by the WNBA All-Star Game from
Washington, D.C. Monday, July 15. In
addition, the networks will televise playoff games. The
schedule includes six appearances by the Sparks, and five each by the
Houston Comets, winners of the first four WNBA championships, and the New
York Liberty. In
addition, ESPN2 will continue to televise WNBA Action, a weekly WNBA
