WNBA Los Angeles Sparks Latasha Byears Suspended NEW YORK, NY (March 6, 2002) Latasha Byears of the Los Angeles Sparks has been suspended without pay for one game for pleading no contest to reckless driving in violation of the law of the state of California, the WNBA announced today. Byears' plea was entered in the Sacramento County Courthouse last week. Byears will miss the opening game of the season between the Los Angeles Sparks and the New York Liberty at the STAPLES Center on May 25, 2002.
