Football Team
Holding Tryouts For 2003 Season
BILOXI, MS (October 8, 2002) The Biloxi
Herricanes, one of 30 teams playing in the National Women's Football
League for the 2003 season, has announced their 2003 tryouts.
The Biloxi Herricanes are entering
their second season with the NWFL. The Herricanes will play against the
Pensacola Power, the Panama City Beach Rumble and the New Orleans Spice.
The tryouts will be held on October
19th at Lee Street field starting at 3:30pm. All female athletes over 18
are invited to attend. Tryout participants should bring water and a
towel and dress in comfortable shoes and clothing. There is a one-time
tryout fee of $35.00.
The team is also looking for coaches
and game day staff. Anyone interested should contact team owner, Becky
Greene at (228) 539-9350.
The National Women's Football League is
the world's largest full contact football league with 30 teams. The
league website, www.nwflcentral.com gets over 2 million hits per month.
The league has also made history with the signing of a five year TV
right deal with the Football Network.
